I paid $16500 for a new TC33D, 7308 loader (60' HD bucket), SuperSteer, block heater, & lights last May...

You may also want to check at Farm&Fleet (Farm&Country, Quality, etc). The Kingkutter equipment seem to be decent quality "light duty" units at very good prices. I have a 5' box blade that does fine. The cultivator looks very solid & gear drive. The cutters ($500?) & finish mowers ($1100) also look pretty solid. Landpride & Brushog are high quality (& cost), but check out KingKutter also.

Gary, I wonder if you can tell me what a single valve rear hydraulic valve kit should cost from NH. I was originally quoted $250 for one, but when I went to order, it was now $450. I was told that there was an error in the book used for the 1st quote. 2nd, is this something very difficult to install? My primary use is intended to be for a hydraulic top link... Thank you for all your help.

Has anyone ever installed a rear SCV kit on a TC25-33? (I know that I'm in wrong are -but same subject) I got a price of $250 from my dealer that includes everything including hoses with quick-attach ends. He says that the TC's are all set up for it. I would hope for good directions & diagrams to be included. I'm no mechanical geneous, but have a little general mechanical know-how (not much regarding hydraulics) & a trace of common sense. Can a simple "Buckeye" do this?

I'm not familiar with the Woods mower, but $19,000 seems slightly high for Ohio. One may find a TC25 w/loader for under $16,000. In May of last year, I pad $16500 for TC33, SS, loader, block heater, seat arms, & worklight. I like the tractor.

I just saw a used Woods RM59 model for sale in the newspaper. Does anyone know what size or quality this is? Maybe 59" (5')... They're asking $450.

I purchased my TC33D in Cambridge, Oh from a dealer that I am more than pleased with for a very good price. The dealer is Ross Equipment, 5640 Glenn HWY Rd (Rt 40 west of Cambridge) - 740-432-4556. It's a family run dealership - you will deal with Mr Ross, his wife, or daughter... His mechanics are experienced & very helpful. He offers no bull & doesn't look for any. If you like dealing with car salesman, don't go to Mr. Ross. I think that he has 29's on the lot right now. Good luck - let me know if I can help further...

My insuror set me up with a "Marine policy" to cover my tractor that covers fire, theft, collision (including damage to other persons or property) on my property or others. Currently, I have my tractor parked at our church in order to help with snow removal & it is covered there.

Gary, I'm glad that you are pleased & sure with your choice & that you didn't say anything negative about other brands. That TC line does really look like a great setup. I do not like my seatbelts on my 33 either...

LarryInMi, You should be able to by TC29D w/7308 for closer to $17000 than $19000. The brake steering is set up poorly. I am going to experiment with mine this year to see which method, if any, works best for me if I ever found a need to use it. I've found that pulling a ground engaging implement (even blade) will pull th tractor sideways as Murf has well described. I may try to learn to help this situation with brake steering if my body can coordinate it. Thanx again to all for their insight regarding tractor operation.

Last year, one could buy a TC29D for about $14000 + $3000 for the 7308 loader in Ohio. I couldn't say on the other implements, but overall, I agree that the price seems high. That setup sounds ideal for your needs described other than I would recommend the R4's. I bought a TC33D w/ R4's last year & they work well for my needs.

For moving alot of dirt, the TC35 would probably be better suited due to the added weight & assumed (I haven't seen the spec's) increased loader capacity -both weight & reach (for the barn). The TC35's appear to be the best laid out compact that I've seen - they are sharp. They improved the already excellent smaller TC's design. For alot of mowing, the 33 would probably be better due to lighter vehicle weight & better maneuverability.
I have a TC33 & am currently moving some dirt, clearing brush & trees, and will be building a barn this year. The TC35,40or45 would be better, but were not readily available when I made my purchase. I may have to hire out a dozer 1 more time. Longer term, I will use it for landscaping, mowing, maintenance & all and the 33 should do very well. I hope to use it for all my mowing except trimming - the SuperSteer should help here. Good luck.

This a small family ran dealership - no sales pitches & good no-nonsense service. They primarily deal with Farm/Ag customers. Mr Ross is a great old guy. I have a TC33D w/SS & 7308 loader with 100 hours & like it alot -ESPECIALLY the dealer. NH generally seems to have very attractive financing if needed. Regarding cross comparison, it gets confusing due to NH, JD, & Kubota not always all changing frame size along with Hp. The frame size can affect cost more than Hp. The TC33 may compare to the JD4400 size but w/less Hp & the TC29 has similar Hp as K-B2910 but w/larger frame. If you can afford the TC35 or TC40, they have impressive design & functionality - the best I've seen & if they are like the other Boomers, you shouldn't go wrong with one. The loader design & capacity looks great. I do not know as much about JD - our local dealer closed up a couple of years ago & I was not impressed by more distant dealers that I visited (which seem to be supported by others on the board). With respect to the wife, try to make her part of the process - once she drives a Boomer, she may buy it (as mine did) & you may have to share it alot... I'm no expert, but these are my observations...

I agree that any transportation charge would be appropriate if the dealer wants keep the customer happy. At 50 hours, my dealer picked up the unit for free & charged no labor fees for the service. I just paid for the filters & oil.

I suggest having a dealer check the tractor. With respect to fuel, there have been many posts on the subject at this site. Without looking them up, I thought that #2 fuel was recomended for these small diesels. Isn't that what most fuel suppliers sell at the pump? Does that sound correct to you expects.

I have not been in the situaion before, thank God. But turning down hill seems logical to me also. BUT I've heard from a few sources that if you have an ROP, wear your seat belt & do not jump off! I wouldn't want to end up under the ROP>

I bought a TC33D, with Super Steer(great for manuvering around trees & the like), 7308 loader, R4's, armrest/lights, etc for $16500 here is Ohio. The dealer is great. I was leaning toward Kubota, but the price & that 1.9% could not be beat. The machine is great so far.
